ABOUT OUR FIRM
Austin Gray Design Group (AGDG) is the collective vision of Denise N. Gordon and Tanya S. Lewis, building on the initial success of The Organized Home, by Denise Gordon and a deeply shared passion to support and collaborate with other Black women in the design industry. A carefully curated group, AGDG partners have decades of combined experience developing and implementing innovative, multifunctional and customized design solutions. We take pride in growing our collective of Black female creatives who seek a spirit of sisterhood while providing clients professional excellence.
We are a New York based Black woman owned interior design firm specializing in creating eclectic, elegant interiors, reflective of our client’s personality and passion. What makes our company so unique, is the consortium of Black female creatives who have collective expertise in interior design, construction, architecture and décor. We create spaces that amplify our client’s style, deliver fine craftsmanship and apply curated artistry.

With a distinct clean style, a discriminating eye for color, and the ability to make any space “pretty,” Denise is a décor and home organizing systems guru! But what makes her most unique, is her ability to merge her design sensibilities with her organizational skills to create spaces that help client’s transition from chaos to beautiful order. In 2017, Denise led the team in transitioning from The Organized Home, by Denise Gordon (founded in 2007) into the Austin Gray Design Group (AGDG.)
In addition to conceptualizing and managing design and home organizing client projects, Denise served as the Lifestyle Editor for CocoaFab.com and hosted two home makeover series, “The Organized Home”, sponsored by The Home Depot and “Fab in a Flash”, sponsored by IKEA Atlanta. Both web-shows featured tips on decorating, entertaining and home organizing.
Denise celebrates her long-term board membership and affiliation with Housing Works Inc. and earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from Bentley University. She is the proud wife and mother of two sons, and currently resides in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
